President Wu Weixing and His Team Visit Nankai University
On January 8, Wu Weixing, Deputy Party Secretary and CUEB President and his team paid a research visit to Nankai University (NKU). NKU President Chen Yulu greeted the visiting team at the Service Building. Present in the symposium were Liang Qi, Deputy Secretary of CPC NKU Committee, Fan Xiaoyun, President of NKU’s School of Finance and Wang Shiheng, Minister of Department for Humanities & Social Sciences Research.
Chen Yulu greeted Wu and his team, speaking highly of CUEB’s excellent achievements in personnel cultivation, faculty construction and discipline construction in recent years. He introduced the history and development of NKU and expressed the hope that, based on the closer long-term relationships, the two sides should deepen cooperation for win-win outcomes and fully leverage their regional and disciplinary edges to advance the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development.
Wu said NKU is a well-known university both at home and abroad with a long history, profound academic atmosphere, fine tradition, and strong discipline. NKU has also made various achievements in digital economy and digital finance. He anticipated that the two sides could explore cooperation models benefiting both parties, harness the discipline’s advantages, and jointly explore new development paths for more accomplishments in the future.
Before the meeting, Wu and his team exchanged views on multidisciplinary integration and digital economy with Professor Tong Jiadong, Director of the NKU Digital Economy Interdisciplinary Science Center. The team also visited the NKU Centennial History Theme Exhibition, which focused on “patriotism, dedication, innovation and social boldness”.
Participated in this research visit were CUEB leaders from the Office of Party and Governance Affairs, the Development Planning Division, the Discipline Construction Office, the Office of Research and the School of Finance.
