CUEB Holds Job Fair for Graduates of 2024
On March 27, CUEB, together with Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau (hereafter the Bureau), organized the Finance Job Fair to promote employment for CUEB graduates in 2024. Meng Bo, Deputy Secretary of CUEB Party Committee, made an in-person visit at the fair for employment guidance, and Ding Ding, Director of Employment Service Department of the Bureau, Li Jingchuan, Deputy Director of Employment Service Department of the Bureau, and Guo Taiqiu, Deputy Director of Fengtai District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, visited the enterprises, had in-depth exchanges with students, and learned about the situation and the needs of the employment market and answered the graduates’ concerns about the employment policy.
A total of 96 employers were invited to this job fair, providing 1,488 positions in such fields as banking and securities, transportation, media and publishing, food and medicine, etc. Public institutions, centrally-managed enterprises, and state-owned enterprises accounted for nearly 57%, with the rest consisting of major banks, such as Bank of China Beijing Branch, Agricultural Bank of China Beijing Branch, China Merchants Bank Beijing Branch, Bank of Beijing, Guangfa Bank Beijing Branch, Minsheng Bank Beijing Branch and Ping An Bank, as well as China Mobile, China Anneng Group, China Securities and BBMG Corporation. Enterprises received a total of 3,781 resumes, 10% of them received more than 100 resumes that met their demands, and 830 employment intentions were initially reached.
CUEB and the Bureau launched the new model of “1+1+1” career guidance service, which means “a college counselor + an employment service specialist + a graduate with difficulty in employment” to adopt the form of “fine guidance + precise assistance + targeted recruitment” to help graduates from key groups to find jobs. The program provides tailored employment guidance for graduates from low-income difficulties through “career planning” and “precise assistance”, and even accompanied them to job interviews to learn their employment situation. Focusing on “targeted recruitment” based on the employment needs of graduates, Beijing Municipal, Fengtai District, and CUEB plan to provide more promising employment opportunities with joint efforts.
A prominent feature of this fair was resource integration. Several on-site services including “resume review”, “study abroad counseling”, “military recruitment promotion” and “political answer” could provide all-round guidance services in terms of employment choices, further education, grassroots services, and housing provident funds, helping graduates to understand the latest development in the job market, and enhance their comprehensive competitiveness. Present at the fair were Directors of the Recruitment Office of the National Defence Education Department of CUEB Party Committee, teachers of the Employment Guidance Team, experts from the Social Security Center and the Vocational Construction Center of the Bureau, as well as senior trainers of human resources companies, to give immediate instructions for students.
CUEB Party Committee attaches great importance to the job fair in this critical employment season in Spring. In March, CUEB held two large-scale job fairs on the main campus and a special job fair on the Hongmiao Campus. In addition, over 10 lectures were held and more than 300 companies were invited to the school, with 2,560 students participating. The Office of Student Affairs will continue to capitalize on the “valuable employment season” in Spring by making an all-around search for employers and jobs, as well as building an interactive platform for graduates and employers to facilitate targeted employment.
