On the morning of July 5th, the 2018 CUEB Undergraduates Commencement and Bachelor Degree Awarding Ceremony was held at the gymnasium of CUEB main campus. Feng Pei, Party Secretary of CUEB, Fu Zhifeng, President of CUEB, Xu Fang, CUEB Deputy Party Secretary, Ding Lihong, Wang Chuansheng and Yang Kaizhong, Vice Presidents of CUEB, and Yu Zhong and Xing Qi, members of CUEB Party Standing Committee, attended the ceremony with Wang Chuansheng as the host.

Feng Pei read out Decision on Approving Graduation of Undergraduates and Junior College Graduates of the Class of 2018 and Decision on Awarding Undergraduates of the Class of 2018 Bachelor Degree . Among 2,567 undergraduates who got Bachelor Degree, 818 got degrees in Economics, 1,168 Management, 154 Science, 61 Engineering, 141 Law and 225 Arts.

Xu Fang read out Decision on Awarding Cheng Shuaiwen and Other 125 Students Honorary Title “Outstanding Graduates of Beijing Municipality” and Decision on Commending He Fengzhi and Other 52 Graduates Who Chose to Work at Grassroots Level . 126 undergraduates and junior college graduates were awarded the honorary title “Outstanding Graduates of Beijing Municipality” this year. Answering the call of CPPCC Central Committee and the State Council, 53 graduates chose to work at grassroots level, work in West China, and work for national defense. CUEB leadership awarded these graduates Certificates of Honor.

In addition, to strengthen ties and communication between alumni and CUEB, 141 undergraduates were appointed as alumni liaisons. Ding Lihong presented a letter of appointment to the rep of alumni liaisons Wang Randi.

Liang Yahui, a student from the School of Finance, delivered a speech on behalf of all graduates and presented Time Memory painting album to CUEB.

On behalf of CUEB alumni, Liu Jingjing, a graduate of the Class of 1996 and Chairman of the Board of Porridge Jia He, made remarks at the ceremony.

On behalf of CUEB, President Fu Zhifeng conveyed congratulations to all the graduates of the Class of 2018, and paid tribute to all the teachers and parents who spared no efforts in nurturing these students. There were three messages that he wanted the graduates to remember: first, be a man of principle and always choose the side of righteousness; second, keep learning and be a knowledgeable man; third, pursue dreams and be a persistent man.

At the end of the ceremony, CUEB leadership awarded graduate reps degrees, and CUEB Degree Committee authorized each school to award all graduates degrees in the beautiful melody of the university anthem Voyage sang by all faculties and students.
