CUEB Chorus Wins Silver Prize on 14th China International Chorus Festival

CUEB Chorus attended the 14th China International Chorus Festival (CICF) during the summer vacation. The competition was judged by the experts from the evaluation committee of the chorus festival in three aspects: basic ability, vocal skills, and artistic expressiveness. CUEB chorus won the title of "Grade B Adult Mixed Chorus" (silver award) among the 265 domestic and foreign choirs.

 

Founded in 1992, CICF is currently the only state-level international chorus art event in China, and it is also the largest and highest-profile international chorus festival held in China. The 14th CICF was held in Beijing from July 19th to 25th, 2018, gathering about 15,000 chorus lovers, including directors of the chorus organizations, experts, scholars, and 308 choirs from 59 countries and regions around the world. During the 7-day period, 263 diversified choral activities of 15 major events were carried out on the festival.
