On March 29th, Model for the Times & Forge Ahead with My Motherland was held in Zhuoyu Lecture Hall. The former is a report on exploits of Beijing models and the latter serves as an initiate ceremony for CUEB Patriotism Education Series. Officials who attended the ceremony included You Baohua, Vice President and Deputy Secretary of the party committee of National Publicity Cadres Academy, Liang Jiahui, Head of Beijing Municipal Committee Lecturer Mission, and Feng Pei, Party Secretary of CUEB.

 The activity was hosted by Publicity Department of Beijing Committee of the CPC, Beijing Committee for Construction of Spiritual Civilization and Municipal Committee Lecturer Mission. And it was organized by Office of Student Affairs of CUEB. Over 700 people got involved, including those from provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, publicity departments of the Party committee of vice-provincial cities, propaganda organs directly under the provincial governments, directors of related central departments of communications and culture, and deputy Party secretary in charge of student affairs of all CUEB schools, and all counselors and student models from CUEB. Ma Li, President of Office of Student Affairs presided over the ceremony.

At the beginning, the Patriotism Education Series Forge ahead with My Motherland was launched jointly by Liang Jiafeng and Feng Pei.

The participants watched a video about Beijing models from grassroots, yet with positive energy. Afterwards, seven of the reporters made speeches on ideological and political construction, singing about “Advocating new manner with new form in a new era”. The representatives included Song Xi, Beijing Model of 2018 and graduate from Peking University and He Yufeng, Beijing Model of 2017 and peasant from Yanqing District, Beijing.

As a beginning of the series, this vivid activity promotes the innovation of ideological and political education of our university. It is also an enlightening lesson for young students.

Later on, CUEB will band together in the spirit of forging ahead through various activities, such as class meeting, writing inspirational speech, by means of learning, singing, and lecturing, doing, etc. In this way we will make a solid foundation for moral education and talents cultivation, thus guiding the teachers and students to pay tribute to our motherland for her 70th anniversary with marvelous performance and positive spirit.
