CUEB Holds Military Training Closing Ceremony for Freshmen
On September 20th, the Military Training Performance and Closing Ceremony for undergraduates was held in Beijing Shenghua Military Training Base. Zhang Bing, Researcher of Beijing Municipal Education Commission: Sports, Health and Arts Department, Liu Shuquan, Staff of Beijing Student Military Training Office, Wen Jun, Executive Director of the Base, Fu Zhifeng, President of CUEB, Ma li, Director of Students' Affairs Division and the Chief of Armed Forces, Feng Junpeng, Political Commissar of Military Training Camp and other leaders of CUEB functional departments, Party Secretaries, Presidents and Deputy Secretaries of all Schools &Departments, attended the ceremony.
At 9 o'clock in the morning, with solemn national anthem resounding through the training ground and national flag rising, the ceremony kicked off.
The first performance was march-past. The formations formed by 13 companies went through the rostrum successively. With firm eyes, neat movements and loud slogans, students fully demonstrated momentum and determination of defending the motherland. They also reflected the excellent training results and sound spirits of CUEBers.
After the march-past, other performances included girls’ self-defense performance, naval flag gesture and boys' grappling techniques. Each performance matrix showed excellent training achievements, demonstrating students’ fine military literacy and immense solidarity.
Then Feng Junpeng made a conclusion. Wen Jun read out a list of honorary student representatives. And leaders present issued certificates to these students.
On behalf of CUEB, Fu Zhifeng presented a banner to the base, written “Heroic and vigorous style demonstrates the true military elegance; scientific and efficient training exhibits Shenghua’ professionality”. The banner expressed CUEB’s thanks to the training base, Beijing Municipal Education Commission, Beijing Military Training Office and the Troops, all hard-working instructors, teachers and logistical staff.
Finally, all the freshmen bid farewell to the military training base, and the 14-day military training successfully came to an end.
