On the morning of November 14, Liu Bin, Party Secretary of Hebei University of Economics and Business (HUEB), Huang Sheng, Deputy Party Secretary and President of HUEB, Li Guijun, Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of HUEB and their team visited CUEB. The two sides signed a strategic framework agreement on cooperation. Wang Wenju, Secretary of CUEB Party Committee, and Li Xiaomu, Vice President of CUEB attended the symposium, which was presided over by Wu Weixing, Deputy Party Secretary and President of CUEB.

On behalf of the two schools, Huang Sheng and Wu Weixing signed the Strategic Framework Agreement on Coordinated Innovation Development and Joint Personnel Training in Universities of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region (hereafter the Agreement), with witnesses Liu Bing and Li Guijun from HUEB and Wang Wenju from CUEB. According to the Agreement, both sides will give full play to their respective advantages and create a long-term strategic cooperative relationship based on collaborative innovation mechanism of research resources sharing and joint research on projects and joint training of high-level personnel. Both sides will continue to promote high-quality development of their cooperation across more areas and in greater depth to jointly write a new chapter in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development and open new prospects for win-win development.

At the symposium, Wang Wenju warmly welcomed the HUEB team. He introduced the history, guiding position, discipline construction, scientific research, and personnel cultivation of CUEB and shared the experience in implementing the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, and meeting strategic needs for serving the country and the capital in the new era. He pointed out that the two sides maintained a close relationship with a solid cooperative foundation. Based on this, the Agreement is critical to the high-quality development of two schools. He hoped that two sides would take this cooperation as an opportunity to promote in-depth and multilevel exchanges and cooperation, as well as to enhance mutual learning by maximizing respective advantages. He anticipated that the two schools could establish a new pattern of cooperation that would contribute to the coordinated development in Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei.

Wu Weixing Presides Over the Meeting

Liu Bing expressed sincere gratitude for the hospitality and praised CUEB’s achievements in teaching and scientific research. He said HUEB prioritizes personnel development with the goal of fostering interdisciplinary and applied finance personnel with five dimensional qualities: patriotism, financial knowledge, information technology, professional quality, and global vision. He stressed that HUEB has attached high importance to the cooperation with CUEB and expected that the two sides could work together to leverage their resources, expand their cooperation, and promote integration of industry, science, and education to improve personnel quality and their ability to serve the nation and regional economic development.

Huang Sheng introduced HUEB’s enrollment, development, and teaching reform. He said that HUEB has developed rapidly and widely with steady improvement of teaching, research, and discipline construction. He expressed great expectation for the cooperation with CUEB and anticipated that the two sides could further refine cooperation, carry out strategic agreement and conduct in-depth exchanges on personnel development, teaching staff and social service to promote common development.

At the symposium, the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on personnel development, scientific research, social service, discipline construction and postgraduate education. This laid a solid foundation on promoting cooperation and development to advance Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development.

HUEB team visited CUEB’s Library, School History Museum and Digital School of Marxism Studies, and comprehensively learned about the historical development, specialized disciplines, finding transforming and the building of interactive sharing platform of teaching resources.
