On October 18, CUEB observed the homecoming day of 2015 themed “Join Hands to Welcome the Future and Realize Dreams” on the square north to the main campus library. More than 600 alumni who graduated 30, 20 or 10 years ago came back to their alma mater, bringing delight of reunion to the golden autumn morning.

School leaders present met the alumni, and presented letters of appointment to Huang Tao, alumni liaison of School of Urban Economy and Public Administration, and other 12 alumni liaison representatives. 83 alumni in total were appointed as class liaisons this year.

The following class pairing session promoted and furthered CUEB’s “alumni mentor program”, by inviting graduated classes to pair with and guide the current undergraduate classes. On this year’s homecoming day, 19 graduated classes were paired up with current undergraduate classes. The school leaders presented letters of appointment to 11 representative “alumni class advisors”, who then issued the letters to 13 alumni liaisons.

Afterwards, Sun Shanxue, on behalf of CUEB, received precious historical documents and items donated by the faculty and alumni. CUEB invited the alumni to follow and take part in the 60th anniversary of the school in its NO.1 document on school’s anniversary. Ke Wenjin, School Party Secretary, and Wang Jiaqiong, president of CUEB, unveiled and infused wine into the ice sculpture for the anniversary, marking the close of the Homecoming Ceremony.

After the ceremony, graduate students from class of 1995 had a symposium in the 7th meeting room of Bona Building. They donated 30,000 yuan to adopt a maidenhair tree in the square north to the main campus library, in whose growth rings they infused their love for the alma mater and wishes for her brilliant future.

In the afternoon, the Third Plenary Session of the 2nd Council of CUEB Alumni Association was held.
