Recently, the 19th National Almanac Book Annual Meeting (2018), sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and jointly organized by Social Sciences Academic Press (China), Shandong Academy of Social Sciences and Ludong University, was held in Yantai, Shandong Province. With the theme of "Almanac Book in the New Era: Prospects and Trends", the conference covered several discussions, such as the specialization of the publishing platform of think tank innovation, academic standards of the think tank fruits, and the academic say of the think tank, etc.

At the conference, winners of the 9th "Excellent Almanac Book Award" and "Excellent Almanac Book Report Award" were announced The Blue Book of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region: Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Development Report (2017) , which was innovated by CUEB, stood out among 410 books in China and won the 2nd prize of the “Excellent Almanac Book Award”. Professor Zhu Heliang, Zhu Erjuan, Zhang Guixiang and Ye Tanglin were invited to attend this book annual meeting.
