On September 28th, the 2018 golf open tournament of universities in Beijing hosted by the golf branch of Federation of University Sports of Beijing (FUSB) started in Beijing. CUEB team participated in the category of general university, and won the 3^rd prize of women’s team event. Peng Ye won the 2nd prize of women’s individual event.

Ninety-one students from 14 Chinese universities participated in this tournament. Led by Li Chen, teacher of CUEB Sports Department, CUEB golf team joined in the fierce competition with players from more than 10 universities, including Peking University, Tsinghua University and University of International Business and Economics. Despite the bad weather, Peng Ye kept calm at the last 3 holes, and won the 2nd prize of women’s individual event. CUEB team consisting of Peng Ye, Zhao Fangjing and Lv Jixuan won the 3rd prize of women’s team event.

FUSB founded its golf branch in 2006, and hosts golf tournament of universities in Beijing every year. As a member of the golf branch, CUEB has sent more than 20 people to the teacher training event organized by FUSB. In 2014, CUEB golf club was founded, and students were frequently organized to participate in golf tournaments. In order to improve and diversify physical education at CUEB, the golf infrastructure was built in CUEB, and the golf class for sophomore students was rolled out in 2017 after in-depth research and discussion.
