Chinese Classics & Art Centre Founded at CUEB
On October 23rd, CUEB held the founding ceremony of Chinese Classics and Art Centre. Xu Li, Secretary of Branch CPC Committee of China Artists Association, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Association, Wu Zhanliang, Deputy Secretary General of China Calligraphers Association, Ma Xinlin, Executive Director of the Painting and Calligraphy Institute of Central Research Institute of Culture and History, Liu Shou’an, Director of the Research Centre of China Calligraphers Association of Communication University of China, Li Fushun, Doctoral Supervisor of Capital Normal Universityand well-known art critic, Wang Guangming, Doctoral Supervisor of Capital Normal University and well-known literary critic, Li Shaoqing, Vice Chairman of Calligrapher’s Association of the Central State Organs, Yang Zhiheng, Director of The Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and well-known calligrapher, Yang Jun, Executive Director of the Painting and Calligraphy Institute of National Museum of China, Fu Zhifeng, President of CUEB, and Wang Chuansheng, Vice President of CUEB, attended the ceremony.
The CUEB Chinese Classics and Art Centre was founded with the approval of CUEB leadership. Wang Chuansheng, Vice President of CUEB, and Shi Gang, Dean of School of Culture and Communication, were appointed as the director and deputy director of the Centre. The School of Culture and Communication, Office of Student Affairs, Youth League Committee and Academic Affairs Office, etc., will cooperate to improve the teaching of and study on Chinese classics and art. Shi Gang presided over the ceremony, and introduced the basic information of the Centre.
Xu Li and Fu Zhifenng then inaugurated the Centre.
Wang Chuansheng expressed thanks to all present guests, and introduced the development history, scale and discipline building of CUEB.
On behalf of China Artists Association, Xu Li extended congratulations on the establishment of the Centre.
On behalf of Cheng Hongwu, Secretary of Branch CPC Committee of China Calligraphers Association, and Li Duo, leading authority of calligraphy, Wu Zhanliang and Li Shaoqing read the congratulation letters. Prof. Liu Shou’an extended congratulations on behalf of the academicians.
After the ceremony, the guests wrote inscriptions for the Centre.
