Prof. Cui Yeguang Selected as Outside Director of Beijing State-owned Assets Commission

Recently, in order to deepen the reform of state-owned assets and enterprises, and to improve corporate governance structure, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of People’s Government of Beijing Municipality (Hereinafter referred to as Beijing State-owned Assets Commission) selected 50 experts for the talent pool of outside directors of enterprises managed by the Beijing Municipality (including 5 financial accountants). After registration, qualification screening, interview and other steps, Cui Yeguang, Professor of the School of Accounting, stood out from more than 440 applicants nationwide and was successfully selected.

Prof. Cui Yeguang said that in accordance with China’s Law of Corporation and the requirements of Beijing State-owned Assets Commission on enterprise reform and development, he would not forget the school’s mission of “based in Beijing, serving the capital, assisting national development, and going global”, and inherited and carried forward the fine traditions of CUEB. He also noted that he would give full play to the role of the Think Tanks of municipal universities, fulfill the duties of an outside director, and pay attention to the coordinated innovation enabled by government-industry-university collaboration. Emphasis should also be put on the coordinated development of social services, the accounting discipline and subject.
