Recently, the 9th General Assembly and 2018 Annual Meeting of the China Population Association (CPA) was held in Beijing, during which new council members were elected. Tong Yufen, Professor of the School of Labor Economics, Director of the Research Institute of Population and Economics, and Chief Editor of Population & Economics was chosen as vice president of CPA.

Founded in February 1981, CPA is a first-grade national academic group subordinate to the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China.
