School of Information Launches 1st Internet Plus Innovation Training Plan, Improving Overall Competitiveness of Students

To actively implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the principles of the 19th CPC Congress, to meet General Secretary Xi’s new requirements for boosting innovation and development, the School of Information of CUEB has been mapping out the innovation training plan for all its students since the second half of 2018. The plan serves as a step toward a more completed system for innovation and entrepreneurship, and it will inspire students to be more active in practice. Furthermore, the program will make graduates more competitive in the work force by cultivating them into all-round talents in tune with the demand of Internet Plus age. Based on the cultivation features and goals of the School and our university, the plan is designed to provide a more challenging exchange platform for innovation and entrepreneurship, with possession of resource portfolio from alumni of CUEB. In March 2019, the School of Information officially launched the first Internet Plus Innovation Training Plan after several researches and discussions.

 

The first phase of the plan focuses on refining the abilities of thinking, self-study, expression, team-working, practicing and professional competence. The customized training, keeping up with the times and international standards, includes self-made study, discussions, and practices. The assessment is flexible: business planning competitions and startups programs including analyzing, team organizing, business proposal planning, product designing as well as implementing, operating, marketing and financing are available for students in different levels. Besides, the program is stuffed with tutors, composed of alumni and teachers of the School, to recommend students to internship and practicing organizations, most of which belong to or are affiliated to alumni of CUEB.

 

On March 6th, Zhang Nan (alumnus from the class of 1986), tutor of Phase I training was invited to give a professional lecture and introduction to this program.

After four days of rigorous interview and selection, the list of trainees for Phase I training was published. The first lecture of the program will kick off on March 10th.

 

The off-campus and high-quality resources, new training patterns and optimized training methods will strengthen students’ initiative for deep learning. The students with strong capability of innovation and entrepreneurship will be more competitive in the market.
