CUEB Signs Cooperation Agreement with CANRE

On May 30th, a Cooperation Framework Agreement between CUEB and Chinese Academy of Natural Resources Economics (CANRE) was signed in No. 6 Meeting Room, Floor 5, Bona Building. Fu Zhifeng, President of CUEB and Zhang Xin’an, President of CANRE signed the agreement. The ceremony was presided over by Gu Fenling, President of the School of Accounting.

In his speech, Fu Zhifeng extended warm welcome to the leaders and experts and introduced the history and situation of CUEB. As Fu put, CUEB boasts relatively complete finance and economics disciplines as well as strong foundation on resource and asset research. He hoped the agreement would forge a closer tie between the two sides on theoretical research, academic exchange, practice and innovation. 

Zhang Xin’an expressed his appreciation for CUEB’s strong supportof CANRE. He said the two sides, with their own features and specialties, had much common ground. He expected that a new pattern of industry-university-research cooperation and a new platform for innovations in both theoretical and practical terms could be explored based on this agreement. Besides, Zhang Xin’an analyzed the necessities and possibilities of building and developing natural resources economics with Chinese characteristics.

Fu Zhifeng and Zhang Xin’an, respectively on behalf of their organizations, signed the agreement. According to the agreement, the two sides will cooperate on subject study, scientific research, student training, and exercitation base building in their push for deepening cooperation in the research of natural resources economics.

After the signing ceremony, Prof. Yang Shizhong with the School of Accounting of CUEB made an academic report on Balance Sheet Preparation and Mechanism Under the Perspective of National Governance, followed by discussion in this regard from the participants.

Jia Wenlong, assistant to the President of CANRE, Guo Pengyong, Director of the Office of CANRE, Zhao Guang, Director of the party and government office of CUEB, experts from China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research, Beijing Forestry University, and Beijing Wuzi University, as well as teacher and student representatives from the School of Accounting of CUEB attended the seminar.
