CUEB to Host 2019 Campus Open Day & Higher Education Enrollment Consulting Activity on June 6th
On May 29th, CUEB held a meeting on 2019 campus open day and higher education enrollment consulting activity. Vice President Wang Chuansheng attended the meeting, which was presided over by Liu Qiang, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office.
Cui Ying, Director of the Admission Office, highlighted the arrangement of the campus open day and preparation of 2019 enrollment. According to Cui, CUEB’s undergraduate enrollment plan is generally the same as those of previous years, and will allow 2460 students to enter the university in 2019 with 1686 students from Beijing, 690 from other cities and the rest from other enrollment plans. This year there will be three batches of CUEB in Beijing for students to apply: ahead-of-schedule B, ahead-of-schedule C and the general batch. 114 places remain open for students to apply for the joint education projects of CUEB via ahead-of-schedule B, which will see 86 CUEB students study two years or three in China’s world-class universities and 28 abroad. 32 majors, including three new ones, namely Economics and Trade, Business Administration (the School of Labor Economics) and Finance, will be available for the general batch.
In the meeting, Wang Chuansheng noted that schools must put a premium on the campus open day as it served as a platform to keep candidates and their parents informed of the strength and characteristics of all the schools in CUEB, through which our university will enjoy a better reputation and recognition. Wang also emphasized the importance of security work, asking all departments and schools to work together to safeguard participants’ personal and property safety.
Also attended the meeting were heads of related departments, deputy deans in charge of teaching and deputy Party secretaries in charge of students’ affairs from every school.
