On June 20th, 19 people from CUEB Alumni Association, Alumni Volunteer Assistance Team and College of Business Administration conducted investigation symposium in Shangkou Village and Houtaowa Village of Changping District. Some issues were discussed with “First Secretaries”, Party branch and village committee. The issues were related to waste recycling, combination of medical care and health care, campgrounds of Block Commune raised by alumni and Party building by CBA. After listening to the introduction to these villages and their challenges, alumni and experts brought up suggestions from their professions to customize practical projects.

We are in charge of Shangkou Village and Houtaowa Village in the Talent-oriented Assistance Project.

Some alumni introduced their projects during the symposium. Zhang Zhiqiang and Pang Yu, co-founders of Gelintiancheng Environment and Technology Limited, talked about waste reduction, harmlessness and resourcefulness. Tong Wenjun, Account Manager of China Unicom Service Center in Beijing, presented a comprehensive service platform for the combination of medical care and health care. Xu Huaizhe, CEO of Solves.com, demonstrated a rural leisure project, campgrounds of Block Commune. Projects above can enhance rural environmental protection, home-based care and tourism development, some of which have already been successfully implemented in Beijing’s rural areas.

Jin Jinghu, Party Secretary of CBA, Wang Xia, Party Branch Secretary of Department of Marketing and Tourism Management, and Pan Jingyu， Party Branch Secretary, briefed the joint efforts in the development of Party building by CBA and targeted villages. After the Department of Marketing and Tourism Management merged, we will continue to build “National Party-building Model Branch”, focus on Shangkou Village and Houtaowa Village, assisted by virtue of disciplinary advantages of marketing and tourism management and boost the ability to construct Party branch and serve the community.

Zhao Bing, Cai Hong, Wang Zhenjiang and Liu Jianmei, professors from Department of Marketing and Tourism Management, shared their professional opinions to better the villages and said they would spare no effort to integrate resources, build a brand, make plans and advertisements. 

Zhao Xiling, CUEB’s Director of Office of Cooperation Affairs and Vice President & Secretary of Alumni Association, said the university’s Party Committee valued talent-oriented Assistance Project and joint efforts in party-building. Entrusted by Secretary Feng Pei, CUEB Alumni Association, Alumni Volunteer Assistance Team and party members from CBA came to the two villages, knew more about the development and needs, and prepared for the future work in terms of resource projects and model Party branch.

Wang Wenxuan, Vice President of CUEB Alumni Association and former Deputy Secretary, Vice President of Beijing Infrastructure Investment, concluded that both alumni and experts put forward good proposals. In the future, our goal is to enrich the people by stressing “deepening”, “specification”, “optimization”, “transformation” and “assimilation”, making sound plans, communicating well, drawing up down-to-earth projects and expanding the publicity to become more influential.
