On September 11th, CUEB launched the mobilization and deployment for the education campaign themed “Staying True to Our Founding Mission”. Party Secretary Feng Pei allocated tasks to the whole university. Zhu Yuanguang, leader of the No.11 Circuit Steering Group of Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPC attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Party Secretary Feng Pei stated clearly that, instructed by the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPC, the Party Committee of CUEB has designed a plan guided by the steering group. The plan will be carried out in three months without considering stages and links. Education, investigation, inspection and upgrading will be implemented throughout the activity. Feng stressed out that Party organizations at all levels in CUEB must implement the decision of the CPC Central Committee and the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPC. He also said that we should attach great importance to this education campaign and try our best to complete every task. In Feng’s statement, he said we should learn from the past experience as well as focus on the new mission and new tasks in the new era.  We must combine closely the theme education and university practices together.

In his statement, Zhu Yuanguang said that the CUEB Party Committee, highly valued the theme education, made a lot of preparations, including the scheme in strict conformance with the requirements of the Central Party and Municipal Party Committee. He also said that the implement scheme is feasible, instructive, specific and operative. To fulfill the duty of steering group, Zhu put forward three requirements on the theme education. First, CUEB should implement the central spirit and satisfy the demands of Municipal Party Committee. Second, CUEB must effectively organize the theme education campaign. Third, CUEB must cooperate well with the steering group. 

Feng concluded that the speech of Zhu is pretty targeted and instructive to the themed campaign. He said that Party organizations at all levels of CUEB must take effective efforts in ideological education, organization and implementation of this activity. We must bring out the full potential of the high-quality development of CUEB in the new era and welcome the 70th birthday of China with our excellent performance.

People attending the meeting were CUEB leaders, Standing Committee members of CPC, CUEB leaders retired in recent three years, directors of functional departments, directors from Party organizations of secondary schools, Secretaries of the Party branch, staffs of Theme Education Office, and members of Theme Education steering group as well as liaisons of Party organizations in secondary schools.
