Military Training Kicks off for CUEB Freshmen

On September 7th, the Military Training Camp Opening Ceremony for 2023 undergraduates was held in Beijing Shenghua Military Training Base. CUEB Party Secretary Feng Pei, Executive Director of the Base Wen Jun and all leading teachers attended the ceremony with more than 2,300 students.

At the ceremony, Ma li, Director of Students' Affairs Division and the Chief of Armed Forces, read out the decision in forming the military training corps. And Feng Pei, on behalf of the university, presented the flag of the Military Training Corps to the Armed Forces.

Feng expressed his gratitude to all the staff and instructors of the base. He mentioned that military training aims to train backbones and successors for China’s socialism, and strive to improve national defense education and build a high-quality talent pool. Feng added that it is also an important way to strengthen students’ moral standard and empower the army. At this special occasion, Feng Pei put forward three expectations for all students: first, understand military training and practice abilities; second, pass on the revolutionary spirit and shoulder the mission of this era; third, get prepared for hardship and develop a persistent spirit.

On behalf of all students, Wang Ruojie, student from the School of Accounting, called on all students to show their upbeat spirit, relentless will and bravery. She also said that all students should complete the training with desirable performance to celebrate the 70th birthday of our Motherland.

This training will last 14 days from Sep.7th to Sep.20th. During this period, Students will complete military skills training, military theory courses and other tasks. Besides, they will carry out a number of instructive cultural activities in the theme of “Forge Ahead with My Motherland”.
