Recently, the 11st Beijing College Student Moot Court Competition, hosted by Beijing Municipal Education Commission, sponsored by China University of Political Science and Law, and co-organized by People's Public Security University of China (PPSUC) came to a successful end. The School of Law in CUEB representative team won the third prize, of which Yang Dezhao won the "Excellent Individual Award".

Six students from the School of Law---Yang Qinzhi, Yang Dezhao, Wang Wanyi, Cheng Lei, Ji Rui and Liu Wan formed CUEB representative team. The third round of the competition was titled "Long Xiaoqing Theft Case", and our school team accused the defendant Long Xiaoqing of theft as public prosecutors. Compared with previous two rounds of cases, it was a greater challenge for our students to comb the logic of this case. Under the guidance of teacher Liu Yingze, Li Changcheng, and Zhang Xing, the team members analyzed the case from surface to inner essence by looking up the relevant provisions and judicial precedent to prepare the competition rigorously and methodically. Before the competition, CUEB students conducted three simulated confrontations with serious attitude. In the competition on November 23rd, CUEB team members provided sufficient evidence and applied the correct laws logically, and then they received recognition from the judges. Yang Dezhao won the "Excellent Individual Award" for his outstanding performance during the trial.
