December 4th marks the sixth National Constitution Day, themed as “Carry forward the Spirit of the Constitution, Promote the Modernization of the Country's Governance System and Capacity”. On the same day, the School of Law of CUEB and the Court in Fengtai District jointly held a series of publicity activities themed as “Promote the Core Socialist Values and the Rule of Law on Campus”. The activities were aimed at implementing the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, carrying forward the core socialist values and promoting the formation of a society-wide concept of upholding the Constitution and safeguarding its authority.

At noon, a group of volunteers from the School of Law and law enforcement officers from the Court in Fengtai District came to the West Square of the third canteen to set up a constitutional publicity site, which is used to disseminate knowledge of the Constitution and core socialist values to teachers and students through the means of on-site distribution of materials, knowledge explanation, question answering and online interaction.

In the afternoon, the propaganda group held a seminar on “Promote the Core Socialist Values and the Rule of Law on Campus” in the second lecture hall of Boyuan Building. The speakers were Judge Assistant to the Case Filing Tribunal, Kan Shuang, and Judge Assistant to the Criminal Adjudication Tribunal, Zhang Huixin. They gave a full account of the specific judicial cases and explained the underlining law and value.

On the same day, the School of Law sent a group to Beijing Taoranting Primary School to popularize the Constitution and law by lectures.

For many years, CUEB has insisted on studying the Constitution, taking the Constitution as one of the main contents of ideological education for teachers and students, and carrying forward patriotism in the process of spreading the culture and spirit of the Constitution. CUEB will continue to do a good job in the Constitution publicity and education activities, making due contributions for the whole society to build the atmosphere of the study and respect of the Constitution.
