Recently, CUEB folk music orchestra won the first prize in Group A (University Group) and the Outstanding Organization Award in the 10th Students’ Drama Competition of National Drama Cup with its Song Snow Land.

In August, the 10th Students’ Drama Competition of National Drama Cup hosted by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Education, kicked off at the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts. The theme of the competition is to inherit the quintessence of Chinese art and carry forward the national spirit. Focusing on the fundamental task of building up moral character and fostering people, and guided by the core socialist values, the competition attaches importance to inheriting and carrying forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture, and shows the cultural attainments of students in universities, middle schools and primary schools, to display the outstanding achievements of school drama education, to create an active school culture atmosphere, and to promote the reform and development of school aesthetic education.

The competition is divided into Group A and Group B. Group A is for the non-professional students in the city's primary and secondary schools and Group B is for the art schools, secondary school students majoring in drama. After intense competition and evaluation by opera performing artists and experts and professors, CUEB folk music orchestra won the first prize in Group A (University Group) and the Outstanding Organization Award in the 10th Students’ Drama Competition of National Drama Cup with the performance Snow Land.
