Alumni Li Xu from Enterprise Department in International Labour Organization Visits Alma Mater
On December 25th, Liu Xu, a senior expert on employment policy and enterprise development in the Enterprise Department in the International Labour Organization, also a CUEB alumni of 1978, came back to CUEB. He exchanged views on the training of international talents and the development of the frontier of Labor Economics. Professor Ding Lihong, Vice President, Professor Wen Kui, Former President, Professor Feng Xiliang, President of the School of Labor Economics, and Wu Ke, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, attended the meeting. Zhao Xiling, Director of Office of Cooperation Affairs and Vice President & Secretary of General Alumni Association, presided over the meeting.
On behalf of CUEB, Ding Lihong gave a warm welcome, expressing gratitude for Liu’s contribution. Ding Lihong introduced the glorious history of the School of Labour Economics and the construction of key disciplines, and expressed the expectation of co-operation in training international talents.
Wen Kui introduced the changes and progress of the school over the years. Feng Xiliang introduced the School of Labour Economics from the aspects of discipline construction, personnel training, research projects and honors. Wu Ke introduced our school international cooperation and exchange activities.
Liu Xu said that he was glad to see the development and changes of his Alma Mater and hoped that the school will further improve its international talent training strategy under the new economic situation and train more high-quality talents to enter the international arena. At the same time, he said he would do his best to promote the relevant cooperation between the ILO and his Alma Mater and help the international talent training of his Alma Mater.
In the afternoon, Zhao Xiling accompanied Liu Xu to visit CUEB history museum.
