On the morning of December 8th, the “2020 College Admission Assistance by Guangming Daily Live Broadcast Seminar & Excellent Campus Anchors Announcement Ceremony”, hosted by Guangming Daily and undertaken by the Ministry of Education and Guangming Online, was held in the conference room of Guangming Daily. CUEB counselors Wang Lu from the School of Finance and Chen Zixuan from the School of Statistics won the second prize of Excellent Campus Anchors.

Participants in this meeting include Zhang Shuhui, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Zhang Xiaofeng, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Director of Propaganda Department of the University of International Business and Economics, Yu Chengwen, Executive Vice Director of the Propaganda Department of the University of Science and Technology Beijing, Lv Wenmiao, President of Journal of Management Education of the National Academy of Education Administration and other experts and judges, as well as representatives of 5 live broadcast platforms, and leaders of related departments of Guangming Daily. 

During the meeting, the experience of this live broadcast event was summarized, and the winners of the Excellent Campus Anchors were announced and awarded. This year’s Guangming Daily live broadcast event attracted 144 universities, including Peking University. The live broadcast lasted 18,000 minutes and was shared by 160 million people. The excellent campus anchors were selected from 99 colleges and universities that participated in the competition after online voting and expert review. CUEBers performed outstandingly in the live broadcast. Wang Lu and Chen Zixuan won the second prize of the Excellent Campus Anchors. Li Chunlin, deputy editor-in-chief of Guangming Daily, presented awards to Wang Lu and Chen Zixuan.

As the representative of excellent campus anchors, Chen Zixuan talked about his experience as an anchor participating in the live broadcast event and his innovation to attract and serve teachers and students with the new media. Furthermore, he mentioned how to use new media to better exchange and share content concerning school ideological and political education and campus culture promotion in the future. He expressed his gratitude to Guangming Daily for organizing the enrollment live broadcast event, especially under the epidemic situation, CUEB successfully completed the enrollment publicity work through live broadcast.

On July 11th, the “2020 College Admission Assistance by Guangming Daily Live Broadcast” event entered CUEB. Ding Zhiyan, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office and Director of the Admission Office was invited to explain the admissions policies of CUEB. Shi Gang, Dean of School of Culture and Communication, He Hui, Deputy Dean of the School of Public Finance and Taxation, and Wang Jun, Dean of the School of Economics, introduced the schools’ majors, talent training model, further study and employment status to the candidates. In the live broadcast, they introduced School History Museum, library, and Creator Center for candidates and netizens. The live broadcast lasted 2 hours, and by the end of the live broadcast, the cumulative number of views reached 399,000.
