Personnel Affairs Bureau Conducted Study Tour in CUEB
On December 16th, Li Xin, Director of the Liaison Service Office of Personnel Affairs Bureau of the Organization Department of Beijing Municipal CPC Committee, and Grade-4 Consultant Qiu Jingying went to CUEB to exchange views on the training of young Beijing Scholars selected in 2018 and 2019. Wang Chuansheng, Vice President; Yin Zhichao, Young Scholar in Beijing and Dean of the School of Finance, Jiang Xuemei, Young Scholar in Beijing and Professor of School of Economics attended the symposium. Before the symposium, President Fu Zhifeng met with Li Xin and her party.
Wang Chuansheng extended a warm welcome to Li Xin and her party, expressing heartfelt thanks to the Personnel Affairs Bureau for its long-term support for the school’s talents work. He also introduced the history, characteristics and teaching and scientific research of the school. He said that the Personnel Affairs Bureau has set up a very valuable development platform for young high-level talents. He hoped that more young scholars in the school could stand out. As a personnel training unit, CUEB will strive to create good working conditions and provide better support for scholars in accordance with the work requirements of the Personnel Affairs Bureau.
Shang Xiaohui, Director of the Department of Teachers’ Work and the Office of Personnel introduced the number and structure of the talents team in CUEB. She said that during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, the structure of the talents team in CUEB became more reasonable and significant progresses were made in the talents program. CUEB should further expand the size of the talents team, optimize its structure to provide strong support for the development of talents during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.
Li Xin congratulated Professor Yin Zhichao and Professor Jiang Xuemei on being selected as Beijing Young Scholars and affirmed that CUEB attaches great importance to talent work and has put it into practice. She pointed out that, the Beijing Young Scholars Program is the joint and supplement of the “Beijing Scholars Program”, which is the highest level of the Young Talents Selection Program in Beijing twice a year, with no more than 20 personnel at a time. She has made a detailed interpretation of the training policies and supporting measures of the Beijing Young Scholars Program from the aspects of tailoring training program, holding non-regular academic activities, giving full autonomy to scholars, focusing on team training and international training, and strengthening incentive and guarantee mechanisms, and put forward specific work requirements for the selected scholars and schools.
In his speech, Yin Zhichao thanked the Personnel Affairs Bureau and CUEB for their support and reported on the research results, team building and current work situation since he was selected. Besides, Yin also expressed his confusions in the following work and exchanged ideas.
Jiang Xuemei talked about the broad platform provided by the Personnel Affairs Bureau and CUEB for the growth of young scholars. She said that she would further refine and innovate in scientific research, bring her strengths into full play, and make contribution to fueling the implementation of the “Four Centers” strategy, improving the “Four Services” to make Beijing a world-class livable city.
