Recently, Institute for Chinese Social Sciences Research and Assessment of Nanjing University has successively released the Catalogue of Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI) Source and Collected Journals (2021-2022). Research on Economics and Management of CUEB was selected into the source journals of economics, Population and Economics into the source journals of sociology, and Journal of Capital University of Economics and Business into the extended edition of source journals of economics.

Compared with the previous edition of CSSCI catalogue, the new edition has made a large-scale adjustment to the discipline classification of journals. Journal of Capital University of Economics and Business, once a university journal, now becomes a journal of economics just as Research on Economics and Management. This adjustment may bring forth more severe competition to this journal in the future. In view of new changes and competitive situation, Periodicals Department of CUEB shall make clear the orientation in a scientific and reasonable way focusing on the hot and perplexing issues of China's economic and social development, strengthen the integration with related disciplines and strive to enhance the quality and social influence, so as to better serve CUEB’s discipline construction and talent cultivation.
