On the afternoon of September 7, in order to better implement the education of Party history and respond to the requirement of “making good use of revolutionary resources & passing on the great spirit of revolution”. Han Xianzhou, Party Sectary of CUEB, led group members of Party Theory Learning Centre to visit the Red Building in Peking University (PKU). They visited the exhibition titled “Glorious Cause as Prologue of Revolutionary History: Red Building and Early Revolutionary Activities of CPC in Beijing”. It was an excellent first class to learn about the Party’s history in this new semester to pass forward the revolutionary spirit stronger! The Group was greatly encouraged and gathered more strength from the course by learning about the struggle of the CPC.

Focused on Li Dazhao, Chen Duxiu, Mao Zedong and other comrades’ support of the founding of the early CPC, the exhibition showed the glorious history on Beijing revolutionary activities during this time. The exhibition emphasized that Beijing was one of the main places for the center of New Culture Movement, the birthplace for May Fourth Movement and Communist Party of China, as well as the main place for early spreading Marxism in China. Thus, Beijing had a unique position, contribution and value in the founding of CPC. The historical relics in this exhibition came from more than 50 museums in 13 provinces, and they were divided into 6 parts and 19 units in total.

During the visit, everyone saw different pictures, and watched videos and scene restoration, reviewing the great history to study the spirit of “patriotism, progress, democracy, and science”. The Red Building is of iconic significance in the history of the CPC. Every historical event, every revolutionary hero, every revolutionary spirit, and every revolutionary cultural relic of this exhibition represents the glorious journey of the Party, showing the aspirations, pursuits and contributions of the early Communists. It vividly illustrates how the Communist Party of China and the People's Republic of China came to be.

After the visit, everyone believed that we should continue to maintain the initial aspiration of the party, integrate General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on education into the whole process of education and adhere to the mission of cultivating talent for the Party and the State, with strengthening the school politically as our overarching principle. We should comprehensively strengthen the Party’s leadership over the school and forge ahead towards the goal of building a modern, multidisciplinary, internationally renowned and domestic first-class university of economics and business in China.

Since this year, the Party Community Theory Learning Centre has visited sites and learn about heritage related to the history of the CPC to educate themselves in learning the Party’s history, and they have visited memorial places of revolutionary history for many times. From the Party’s glorious achievements, hardships, experiences, and fine traditions, they profoundly understand that the strength of the Party and the strength of socialism with Chinese characteristics that are attributable to the fact that Marxism works. The sites and heritage related to the history of the CPC have been adopted to strengthen party members and leaders’ commitments to faith and ideal, the Four Consciousnesses (consciousness of the need to maintain political integrity, think in big-picture terms, follow the leadership core and keep in alignment), the Four-sphere Confidence (confidence in the path, theory, system and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics), and the Two Upholds (uphold General Secretary Xi Jinping’s core position in both the Party Central Committee and the Party as a whole as well as the authority and centralized, unified leadership of the Party Central Committee).
