Professor Zhou Xuzhong was Honored as "Older Talent" in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region
An award ceremony was held in the Golden Home (the Self-Directed Caring Community for the old), Tongzhou District on Oct. 10, 2021. Professor Zhou Xuzhong from CUEB was honored as "Older Talent" in Beijing-Tianjin -Hebei region.
Guided by the Office of The National Working Commission on Aging and the Bureau of Veteran Cadres Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, the activity was co-hosted by Beijing Radio & Television Station (BRTV), Hebei Radio and TV Station (HEBRTS) and Tianjin Radio & Television Station (TRTS). Since its launch on June 18th, more than 600 contestants (with an average age of 70) from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei have applied. The oldest contestant ages 106 and the youngest ages 60. A total of 10 Older Role Models, 19 Older Talents and one Older Talent Group Award have been awarded.
Zhou Xuzhong has taught in the School of Law for more than 30 years and served as the Secretary-General of the CHINA ASSOCIATION FOR FISCAL AND TAX LAW for many years. He was one of the earliest scholars specializing in fiscal and tax law research in China and has made great contributions to the research and education in this field. He presided over the project "A study on the risk prevention of enforcement mechanism in economic law” in Beijing" and has been a member of the Expert Committee of the China Law Counsel Center. At 9:30 on May 20, 2018, he successfully reached the summit from the Nepalese side at the age of 61, fully demonstrating to the world the precious spirit of retired old comrades who bravely climbed the peak and challenged themselves.
