The Master of Journalism and Communication of CUEB was listed on “the Notice of Beijing Academic Degrees Committee on Reviewing the List of Additional Doctoral and Master Degree Authorization Program in 2020” issued by Beijing Academic Degrees Committee on October 26th.

According to the Notice of the Beijing Academic Degrees Committee Authorization Center on Reviewing the List of Additional Doctoral and Master Degrees (2020) issued by Beijing Academic Degrees Committee on October 26th  (no. [2021]7), the Master of Journalism and Communication of CUEB was added to the list. CUEB was authorized to offer master’s degrees in Journalism and Communication, following the interdisciplinary Master's degree authorization of Media Management and Administration in 2015 and the discipline authorized to offer master degree program of Journalism and Communication in 2019.  

The master degree Authorization program in Journalism and Communication is located in the School of Culture and Communication. The School has explored and formed its own characteristics and advantages in cultivating compound and applied talents who not only have a good command of journalism and communication, advertising, cultural brand but are also familiar with business management. The school has also given Beijing nearly 3000 bachelors and masters in total in communication, advertising, culture and creativity management.

This new degree Authorization program consists of three major directions: Media Operation and Management, Advertising Operation and Management, and Cultural Brand Creativity and Management. Based upon the idea of educating students through practice, the School of Culture and Communication will utilize "the three layer comprehensive training system" (Professional Training Camp, Students Practice Activity, Experimental Teaching Center), and the "Economic News Talents Training Base" co-built by "Economic Daily" and CUEB, as well as the "three layer platform" for teaching and scientific research (including practical simulation, experimental simulation, practical training and actual combat training). In keeping pace with the development of the society and industry, the school adopts the combination of in-class and extra-curricular, teaching and scientific research, school and society devoting to cultivating high-quality applied talents with professional qualities and abilities in journalism and communication.  

The construction of Master's Degree Program in Journalism and Communication will be implemented quickly and in an orderly manner. CUEB will officially begin its enrollment work in this major by 2030. The construction of the relevant degree programs will be carried out shortly afterwards. CUEB will officially begin its enrollment work of the master of Journalism and Communication in 2030.
