On the morning of December 1st, 12 ceremonial volunteers from CUEB departed for Guyangshu Cluster to provide services for “Experience Beijing” Test Event in the Zhangjiakou competition zone. Despite the cold weather, CUEB volunteers, as always, had great enthusiasm for their duties.

Before departure, Sun Haozhe, Vice President of CUEB, came to the meeting place to give the volunteers a send-off. He pointed out that Serving the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 is a glorious mission with important responsibilities. He encouraged all the volunteers to improve their political stance, obey orders and follow instructions with a scientific and pragmatic attitude, so as to fully show their energetic youth in the competition. Meanwhile, volunteers should pay attention to maintaining safeguards against cold resistance and following pandemic prevention guidelines, making sure of timely contact with related officials of the venue and CUEB and giving their best shot to the opportunity of the Olympic volunteering service and always present a serious working attitude. Then, Sun Haozhe distributed elaborate anti-pandemic materials and gave cold weather supplies while shaking hands with every volunteer and giving his best blessing.

Volunteers expressed their determination to promote the “Camel Spirit” and make a concentrated effort to accomplish the volunteer services of the test event satisfactorily.

It is reported that to do the volunteering services for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 adequately, a temporary Youth League branch in the volunteer group was established by the Youth League Committee of CUEB, giving full play to its vanguard role. The University Hospital actively coordinated and organized nucleic acid tests for volunteers, and the Office of Logistics deployed vehicles to escort the volunteers to the designated check-in location. 12 ceremonial volunteers have reached the Guyangshu Cluster safely. They will officially carry out volunteer services for the Beijing 2022 test event after a short rest.

In the future, more volunteers from CUEB will be ready to roll out the red carpet of Beijing with the help of their smiles. They always prepare with great enthusiasm, enabling themselves to become a shining and valuable addition in writing a new chapter for the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022.
