On April 20, a symposium with CUEB leading teachers of Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics student volunteers was held in Conference Room 6 on the 5th floor of Bona Building. Vice President Sun Haozhe and representatives of the leading teachers attended the symposium. Li Xiaoou, President of CUEB Committee of Communist Youth League chaired the meeting.

Sun Haozhe warmly greeted all teacher representatives, congratulated them for their return with great success, and spoke highly of their excellent work during the Winter Olympics. CUEBers have committed themselves with great strength to volunteer work at all levels, and have done much more and better than expected, thus showing excellent quality of education of our university. According to Sun, in the next stage, these teachers are to summarize and refine the spirit gained from the Winter Olympics from two aspects: first, preserve the cultural heritage gained from the Winter Olympics and integrate it with our “Camel Spirit” for better promotion; second, take this volunteering experience as a platform to conduct ideological and political education. This requires teachers to diversify approaches for patriotism education by internalizing the spirit of the Winter Olympics in mind while externalizing it in actions, so as to guide students to unite as a whole around the Party and to stride forward bravely for China Dream.

Li Xiaoou expressed her gratitude towards all the teachers on behalf of CUEB Committee of Communist Youth League. In this significant Winter Olympic volunteering, all teacher and student volunteers have overcome difficulties, worked hard and greatly devoted themselves against the serious pandemic showing the accomplishment and responsibility of our young teachers.

Leading teachers working on etiquette, transportation, accommodation, opening and closing ceremonies, and city security shared what they did and what they felt in doing so in a warm atmosphere. They indicated that taking part in serving the Winter Olympics is an unforgettable experience as well as a good chance to follow the footsteps of the Party and the era. In future work, they would conduct ideological and political education with their experience to inherit the Winter Olympic spirit and tell the Olympic stories.

Based on President Xi Jinping’s speech at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics review and awards ceremony, CUEB Committee of Communist Youth League would set up Winter Olympics volunteer lecturing team to tell the Olympic stories, share the Olympic spirit, demonstrate the youthful vows of "pledging to the Party to make my country strong" with the initiative of CUEB members participating in the Olympic volunteering work.
