In the afternoon of May 17, CUEB held an online meeting for promoting employment with enterprises concerned. This meeting aimed to implement the CPC Central Committee and the State Council’s decision on stabilizing employment and maintaining job security, and to participate in the special campaign proposed by General Office of the Ministry of Education and Beijing Municipal Education Commission that requires party secretaries and presidents of universities and colleges to launch meetings on employment with enterprises. Therefore, Fu Zhifeng, President of CUEB, attended the meeting, and Wang Jinbao, Director of Student Affairs Department of CUEB Party Committee presided it over.

President Fu Zhifeng expressed his gratitude to these enterprises for their support to CUEB graduates’ employment and made an introduction to the discipline development, specialty advantages and features of talents’ cultivation. He said CUEB will provide multiple employment choices for graduates through training reforms for classified recruitment model to ensure the students a solider ground and wider horizon. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, students are facing difficulties in job hunting for lack of offline internship, more practice and employment opportunities are expected. Fu required the Office of Student Affairs to deepen cooperation with enterprises to step up more internship bases and give more guidance on employment.

Wang Jinbao introduced the employment work for Class 2022, which enjoys a steady promotion in general thanks to implementation of the following measures: bolstering the organizational leadership to implement the entity responsibilities, exploring more resources to broaden the job market, providing targeted employment guidance to boost students’ competence in job hunting, and working harder to deal with more practical issues, etc.

Persons in charge of recruitment from China National Medicines Corporation Ltd, Bank of Ningbo Beijing Branch, DongFangHuiBo, Citic China Securities Haidian Branch, New Oriental Education & Technology Group in Haidian District and other enterprises attended the meeting. They introduced their on-campus recruitment and expressed their willingness to step up cooperation with CUEB.

This online meeting will further promote CUEB’s cooperation with the participating enterprises and lay a firmer foundation for future cooperation. Ji Yanyan, the Deputy Director of the Office of Student Affairs, and all the members of Career Guidance Centre of the Office of Student Affairs participated in the meeting.
