CUEB Holds Meeting for Advancing Kindergarten Construction
On the afternoon of June 30, CUEB held a meeting for steadily advancing the kindergarten construction in Meeting Room 115 of the Bona Building. Wu Hui, Deputy Party Secretary of CUEB, attended the meeting chaired by Lu Meng, Deputy Party Secretary and Director of Office of CUEB Logistics Services.
Wu Hui pointed out that CUEB has prioritized the preparation and construction of the kindergarten this year, which means that CUEB Party Committee has taken specific steps to respond to public concerns. She recognized the early work of different departments and put forward five requirements for the following integrated construction:
First, we need to strictly supervise all the work and ensure the construction quality. Environmental protection should be our priority in the process of reconstruction and decoration by using environment-friendly materials.
Second, we need to strictly observe the bottom line of security. All departments are required to intensify security plans to ensure zero accidents. Since the construction coincides with the flood season, all units must get well-prepared for flood and lightning.
Third, we need to strengthen communication and coordination among all departments, especially in the case of cross construction, in a bid to avoid rework and delay.
Fourth, we need to attach great importance to epidemic prevention and control and stringently implement the four parties’ responsibilities (namely, local governments, departments, units, and individuals.). All units should carry out plans emphasizing quick, rigorous, and effective prevention of the spread of COVID-19 among people, objects, and the environment according to Beijing’s and CUEB’s policy requirements for epidemic prevention and control, such as screening a clear number of personnel, carrying out effective sanitization, and implementing closed-off management.
Fifth, we need to further improve Party conduct, build a clean government, see responsibilities are fulfilled by all departments, enhance education, and strengthen the regulation to make sure people take their responsibilities, keep discipline, and follow the rules.
Lu Meng introduced the construction progress of the kindergarten. We plan to recruit students in late July and complete construction in late August to make sure it open in this fall. Project leaders of the Security Office, Property Management Department, Information Office, and Office of Logistics Services introduced their progress and plans respectively, and exchanged ideas about epidemic prevention and control, staff management, communication mechanism and protection of made-up products.
