Party Secretary Han Xianzhou declared The Decision on Degree Conferring on Graduates of Grade 2022. According to the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Academic Degrees and the Detailed Rules for Degree Conferring of CUEB, CUEB Degree Evaluation Committee approved the decision on June 21, 2022, of awarding Men He and other 51 graduates doctor degrees, Niu Shuolei and other 1452 graduates master degrees, and Zhang Jiyu and other 3170 graduates bachelor degrees.

Good morning! During this special period, on behalf of all the faculty and staffs of CUEB, I’d like to meet you online and witness your highlights. A total of 52 graduates received doctor degrees, 1,453 graduates master degrees, and 3171 graduates bachelor degrees this year. Congratulations!

Graduates of 2022 enjoyed the shortest campus life. The epidemic has prevented your returning to campus, but not your growth. To experience the dramatic changes mixed up with the pandemic unseen in a century give us enough power and confidence. General Secretary Xi Jinping once remarked: “The great cause calls for successive efforts from one generation of young people to the next.” Today, you are leaving the Alma Mater and devote yourself to this great relay race.

I hope CUEBers be ready to dedicate yourself to the world in the future. Most of you are Generation Z or millennium babies, born at the best time of the flourishing development of our nation, and have favorable growth environment and a bright future. I believe you will stand up to fight and take responsibilities in the face of dangers and challenges. In the long journey of life, there are poems and dreams, so are there responsibilities. As the saying goes, “Knives are ground on stones, and men practice in the world.” Young people should endure hardships, and only by this could you distinguish yourselves from others.

I hope CUEBers be innovative. There are thousands of ways to develop and innovation comes first. As “Ardent Youth” of the new era, you should take innovation as an inexhaustible driving force for self-development and Innovators shall always win out in today’s world. I hope you hold the intrepidity of “the more wit, the less courage”, and firm the determination of “the more difficult, the more forward”, whether continue to study or enter the workplace. And I hope you have the courage to chase dreams and become pioneers in innovation.

I hope CUEBers be brave in transcending yourselves. We can always believe in ourselves! Just like the past two, three, or four years, I’ve witnessed you trying to surpass who you were yesterday, and living a totally different youth. Please keep this momentum and firmly believe “endeavor works”, while “lying flat” leads to no way out. Frustrations and sufferings are only trying stones of our confidence and patience, so let’s brave them and surpass ourselves!

Dear students, I’m so concerned about you this half year. Due to the pandemic, we have to have our degree conferment ceremony online. After the epidemic, CUEB welcomes you to come back to attend offline ceremony of any graduation, to visit the campus, classrooms and dormitories, and to meet with our beloved puppies “Xiao Hei” and “Cheese”. I believe that one day in the future, you will return to the campus and cry “My youth is coming back”! Let’s turn these unfulfilled wishes into blessing and gifts of reunion!

Sun Haozhe announces the list of Beijing outstanding graduates.

Sun Haozhe declared the list of Beijing Outstanding Graduates. According to the Implementation Measures of CUEB to Select and Recommend Beijing Outstanding Graduates. 223 students including Ma Haoyuan studied hard and actively devoted themselves into social practice to improve comprehensive qualities, standing out in moral qualities, study, science research and innovation, social work, etc. As a result, being recommended by school and approved by the Beijing Municipal government, the 223 graduates were praised as Beijing outstanding graduates, which included 152 undergraduates and 71 graduates.

Wang Yonggui, a member of the Party Standing Committee and Vice President, read out the Decision on Honoring Graduates for Serving in Community and Joining the Army. 57 students were honored, including Jia Lidan, leverage their knowledge and skills, and dedicated themselves to community, Western China and national defense, heeding to the call of the Central Party and the State Council. Such honor is to inspire more CUEBers to pursue their great success in western regions, grossroots, and other regions in need.
