On the afternoon of August 26, CUEB held a regular meeting for directors from party organization of secondary schools. Party Secretary Han Xianzhou presided over the meeting and delivered a speech; Deputy Party Secretary, Xu Fang and Wu Hui attended the meeting.

Han Xianzhou required all Party organization of secondary schools to carefully study the relevant documents on the epidemic prevention and control of CUEB in the fall semester of 2022, fully and accurately grasp the spirit of the documents, and put forward three requirements on the epidemic prevention and control for returning to school in the new semester.

First, we should fully recognize the situation. Considering people's safety and health and the overall situation of the epidemic prevention and control in Beijing, we should deeply understand the significance of the epidemic prevention and control of returning to school in the fall semester, understand the relevant policy of the CPC Central Committee and Beijing, and guide all staffs and students to strengthen ideological consciousness and action consciousness.

Second, we should fully carry out the work. It is necessary to profoundly analyze difficult problems in the beginning of the fall semester, such as the returning to school in multiple batches and for long duration, the coordination between all departments and schools, etc. The requirements of epidemic prevention and control should be effectively implemented by every teacher and student, and we should seek truth from facts, and carry out measures down to earth. To ensure the stable and smooth education and teaching, solid efforts should be made in regular epidemic prevention and control after teachers and students’ back to school.

Third, we should give full play to the role of Party organizations at all levels in CUEB. After a thorough analysis of recent work, all schools should accurately convey the requirements for the epidemic prevention and control to every teacher and student. We should be sensible to identifying “model people and model deeds” and typical cases in the epidemic prevention and control of returning to school, and give full play to the role of primary-level Party organizations as fighting bastions and exemplary vanguard role of Party members. We should strengthen our sense of discipline and responsibility, resolutely deal with disciplinary violations in epidemic prevention and control, and any dereliction of duty must be held seriously accountable.

Zhang Tong, Director of the Party and Government Office and Director of the Inspection Office of the Party Committee conveyed the latest requirements of the Ministry of Education and Beijing on coordinated epidemic prevention and control and education reform and development, and solid steps of returning to school, introduced the main measures taken by relevant departments to implement the requirements and improve the mechanism of epidemic prevention and control on campus during the summer vacation, and explained the key points for epidemic prevention and control in the new semester.

Xing Qi, Standing Committee of Party Committee and Director of United Front Work Division, directors from Party organizations of secondary schools, and directors from functional departments attended the meeting.
