On the morning of August 25, the Leading Group of School Epidemic Prevention and Control held a symposium on inspecting the basic work of each unit in improving the epidemic prevention and control during summer holiday, and deployed further tasks for the coming new semester. Han Xianzhou, Party Secretary, Xu Fang and Wu Hui, Deputy Party Secretary, Wang Yonggui, Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of CUEB, Xing Qi, Standing Committee of Party Committee and Director of United Front Work Division, and members and unit leaders attended the meeting, which was presided over by Sun Haozhe, Standing Committed of Party Committee and Vice President of CUEB.

Han Xianzhou remarked that all units should enhance their political consciousness with high attention to epidemic prevention and control for student’s back to school in autumn. It would be a great contribution to the whole society that we safeguard our frontline with the whole picture in mind, and ensure the health and safety of all staffs and students, and the stability of our school. All units must carry out measures for epidemic prevention and control in a practical and scientific method, and strictly study the relevant policies with accuracy. We need to prepare the emergency work plan toward situation of the school running in full capacity and improve the ability of digital management for a matrix of campus sectors in a problem-oriented method. We must learn from other universities on the problems of epidemic prevention and control in the first half year, and analyze all possible risks in different scenarios to make sure our campus safe and sound. All units should clearly specify the main responsibilities, get well-prepared for information transmission and make prompt reports on special case.

Leaders in charge of different sectors proposed requirements toward school returning accordingly. All units should keep the current epidemic prevention and control policies in mind, hold the general principle that the implantation of relevant policies should be stricter than that in society. We must grasp the specific situation of all groups who would return to school, carry out relevant work and handle emergencies in time. We must schedule the education and teaching work for the new semester meticulously and adopt teaching models that could be switched online or offline in any second. We also need to pay attention to the practical situation of the two campuses of CUEB and those who couldn’t return to school due to the epidemic.

After the meeting, Han Xianzhou, Wu Hui and Sun Haozhe led a team to carry out site inspections of the preparations in this regard.

To scrupulously check the situation of the campus health observation point stockpile and infrastructure renovation, stockpiling of living materials, regular nucleic acid testing, stockpiling of epidemic prevention materials, school's logistics buffer zone, and school gate regulation and control, the inspection group went to the general medical observation area (spare epidemic prevention observation area) at the main campus, the construction site and cold storage on the third floor of the second dining hall, the nucleic acid testing sites on campus, the epidemic prevention supplies warehouse, the express station at the east gate and the south gate.
