Achievements by CBD Development Research Base Receive Central Government’s Instructions
Beijing Philosophy and Social Science CBD Development Research Base (CUEB, hereinafter referred to as the Base) conducted further studies on ways to keep high-quality development in Beijing under the approach of dynamic zero-COVID. Studies encompassed the following aspects: high-end industry, city qualities, business environment, CBD development and cultures and arts. After the in-depth inspection and discussion, the research team took over consulting projects of Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform and Securities Association of China and formed several policy recommendations, and 3 of them received instructions from the central government.
Gao Jieying, chief expert and Director of the Base, took over two consulting projects. One is on how Beijing Stock Exchange can work as a model to illustrate the systems and functions with Beijing characteristics by extensive development. The another is on how to protect A-shares market from risks when the world stock market is trapped in risk spillovers due to external shocks. Given by this condition, Tang Zhijun, Deputy Director of the Base, submitted a report named Suggestions to Build a Better Beijing Stock Exchange to the central government and received important instructions. Guo Yuanyuan, Deputy Director of the Base, submitted a report named Suggestions to Shape Comprehensive Anti-Pandemic Systems and Mechanics for Public Health and took part in a report named Suggestions to Intensify the Local Chronicles Compilation. Both received important instructions from the central government.
Beijing CBD, the Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector and Pilot Free Trade Zone, now serves as an important platform to build Beijing into a digital economy benchmark city and an international consumption center city. Committed to the national and capital development, the Base will take full advantage of its disciplines and majors to solve the main development problems, providing intellectual support for capital development.
