On the afternoon of November 12, in order to study and implement the spirit of the meeting related to the Central Committee and meet the requirements of the deployment meeting of Beijing Municipal Education Commission. President Fu Zhifeng led a team to visit major areas of the campus, checked the work on epidemic prevention and control, wind-prevention and central heating on spot and sent greetings to staff being on duty at the weekend.

Fu went to the gates, health observation areas, nucleic acid testing sites, express stations, logistics buffer zones, supermarkets and other areas. He inspected the strict management of campus entry and exit, health observation areas, regular nucleic acid testing, express and takeout disinfection, supplies and prices of daily necessities, and learned about the recent data of teachers and students entering and leaving the campus and data of nucleic acid testing. He also asked the situation of people who lived in the health observation areas and extended greetings to personnel working at the weekend. He pointed out that all departments should never slack off and cooperate with each other to prevent and control the epidemic in accordance with the requirements of superior departments.

Affected by cold wave, Beijing experienced heavy winds and cold weather recently. Considering the health of teachers and students, CUEB has offered central heating in advance. Fu went to the heating station and Student Dormitory Building 4 to inspect the heating equipment and ask dormitory staff about the temperature and the heating facilities repairing. He also required relevant departments to get ready for cold winds and ensure heating, so as to create a warm environment for teachers and students.

In Psychological Education and Consulting Center, Fu went to the reception hall, individual psychological counseling room, psychological catharsis room, reading room of psychological books and other rooms and learned about the main functions and related work. Given present epidemic situation, he pointed out that we should pay more attention to students’ mental health education and consulting work, explain the polices to students who cannot go back to Beijing, care about students quarantined in the health observation areas and hotels and solve their practical problems.

Fu pointed out that the epidemic prevention and control of Beijing stays at a critical stage and campus epidemic prevention and control faces strict challenges. We should implement the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee in an integrated and accurate way, shoulder more responsibilities, do our best to fulfill duties, be proactive in work, and go deep into the grassroots and front line to make detailed and tangible efforts in carrying out epidemic containment measures. We should place more weight on duty, security guarantee and information reporting in case of emergencies. We should ensure a reliable and effective channel of communications between students and school. Class advisers and counselors should feed reasonable demands from students back to functional departments. Relevant heads should handle these demands immediately and guarantee various services and security work.
