On April 18, a deadly fire broke out at a hospital in Fengtai District, which drew the attention of CUEB leaders. Wu Hui, Deputy Party Secretary, instructed the Security Office to promptly mobilize personnel to conduct a thorough fire safety inspection throughout CUEB. Working in collaboration with the Office of Logistics Services, Property Company, and other relevant departments, the staff of Security Office focused on inspecting high-traffic areas and critical locations at CUEB.

The staff urged the department concerned to rectify issues identified and to expand the inspection scope for self-check.

Wu emphasized the importance of learning from the recent fire accident, raising fire safety awareness, and clarifying responsibilities for safety management. We must promptly address any problems identified during inspections and leave nothing to chance. All departments must strengthen fire safety management, and conduct comprehensive and thorough fire safety inspections without any blind spots, to eliminate fire safety hazards, firmly guard the safety baseline, and ensure the peace and stability of our campus.
