In his speech, Han Xianzhou pointed out that,employment, as a big concern to all, should be taken seriously.First, we must raise awareness of employment and take it as a top priority.Employment matters most in people's lives, as well as in the development of the university. Therefore, all schools are supposed to hold specialized work meetings in time, master and analyze the employment of their graduates, and come up with targeted measures. Second, Departments at school-level and university-level should play their respective roles and solidly promote employment. As for the university, it needs to visit enterprises to expand posts and explore more resources for employment, with a focus on job fairs as the main channel. In addition, all schools should dig deep into the employment data, add individual characteristics for narrowing shortcomings, and take good guidance in advance, so as to build a close combination between the development of students and the needs of society and firms. Third, we need to further form a mechanism tying recruitment, cultivation and employment. Given that recruitment and employment are directly related to personnel training, it is necessary to continuously improve the understanding of employment. As employment is an important means and starting point, more steps should be taken, such as forming a linkage working mechanism and working hard on personnel training. Only by making full preparations in advance can we help students find a desirable job. Our ultimate goal is to prepare every graduate better for the job market.

 

Wang Jinbao made a comprehensive analysis of the basic employment situation of the 2022 graduates by "numbers".Despite severe and complex employment situations, we had gratifying achievements in employment. Wang said that the employment rate of graduates in 2022 was higher than the average in Beijing reaching the target set at the beginning of this year.In analyzing the employment situation of Class 2023, he pointed out that the number of postgraduates would exceed the number of undergraduates in Beijing for the first time. Besides, the number of CUEB graduates will be at a new high and its student sources are more diverse, putting the university in a more severe situation in terms of employment promotion. To this end, CUEB Party Committee has held symposiums to study employment issues, carrying out the “head project” (which calls for leaders to participate in employment), making more efforts to meet with enterprises for employment promotion, exploring more demands in the employment market, and playing the main role of campus recruitment. With the help of Dandelion Career Development Studio of CUEB, a famous career guidance studio among colleges and universities in Beijing, CUEB will strengthen the employment guidance for students to improve their job-hunting competence and make every effort to support the employment in 2023.

 

 

Yu Peng, President of School of Accounting and Cui Ying, Deputy Secretary of the General Party Branch of the Overseas Chinese College, shared experience of employment and entrepreneurship work of their schools in 2022.School of Accounting persisted in the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education and made achievements in fostering employment, positively establishing national and municipal off-campus personnel training bases, carrying out targeted work with a student-oriented principle, focusing on statistic dynamic tracking and holding a series of activities of career guidance. Over the years, the Overseas Chinese College has been taking “Four Dimensions” (which means to aim high, plan tasks profoundly, guide our work efficiently and provide help warmly) as the driving force, specifying the main responsibilities of the “head project”. It has also focused on involving all teachers in the whole process of employment guidance, constructing a comprehensive service system, actively carrying out employment work and strengthening employment characteristics. Under all these efforts, the undergraduates consistently excelled in employment and study abroad.
