On May 25, in an active response to the call of the Party and the country, under the leadership of the Beijing Education Trade Union (BETU) and CUEB Party Committee, CUEB Labor Union implemented the 2023 Consumer Assistance policy of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and Beijing Municipal Finance Bureau, distributing 2,117 assistance packages to teachers and staff. These were products for poverty alleviation to help teachers and staff share the fruits and enjoy the care from by CUEB Labor Union and CUEB Party Committee.

Distributing poverty alleviation products is to boost rural revitalization, creating a win-win situation between the welfare of teachers and rural revitalization. The fifth committee of Labor Union positively fulfilled its duties and determined the Procurement Plan of the assistance package after multi-party price comparison and comprehensive consideration. On the platform of "Poverty Alleviation for 832 poverty-stricken counties at national level", the Labor Union ordered three kinds of products from group purchase list of agricultural by-products in poverty-alleviation areas: organic eggs in Jalaid Banner and Yinshan organic pure oatmeal in Cobuer Town, Chayouzhongqi of Inner Mongolia, and mushrooms in Zhushan County of Hubei province.

Though products in the assistance package were common in the new era of being materially better off, the "care and warmth" of CUEB enhanced the teachers’ and staff's sense of belonging, happiness, and gain.

In this activity, the Labor Union, has effectively integrated welfare procurement with rural revitalization to provide service and care for the public. Going ahead, the Union shall continue to work for rural revitalization by implementing consumer assistance with a higher political stance.
