On the morning of June 7, Chen Yanbin, Chen Yanbin, Member of the Standing Committee of the CUEB Party Committee and Vice President met with Liu Minhua, Vice President of BTBU and his team in the Tianlang Hall of Boyuan Building. Both sides exchanged ideas on international cooperation and communication. Shi Feng, Deputy Director of Office of Development and Planning of BTBU, He Dongmeng, Director of International Office and Deputy Dean of International Education College, Zhan Xinyu, Dean of International School of Economics and Management, Zhao Zhiyao, Deputy Director of Natural Sciences Department of Office of Science and Technology, Ma Xuejiao, Deputy Director of Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges, Wang Qian, Deputy Dean of International Education College attended this seminar.

Chen Yanbin expressed sincere welcome to Liu Minhua and his team, briefing them on the school running and introducing international cooperation of CUEB, including student exchange programs, the recruitment of foreign students, Sino-foreign education cooperation programs, innovation practice bases for international personnel training, and the situation of teachers and students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas etc. At the same time, he hoped that the two universities would strengthen interaction and continuously develop foreign affairs to improve the overall internationalization.

Next, Liu Minhua briefly introduced BTBU’s overview and basic information on international cooperation. He also emphasized on learning from CUEB in Sino-foreign education cooperation programs, Talent Introduction Bases, international personnel training bases, etc. And he hoped to take this seminar as an opportunity to promote exchanges and interactions among other institutions and to jointly serve the construction of the capital’s function of international communication center.

Later, Xie Haixia, Director of Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges, gave an introduction to the Department, including the business scope, key projects, foreign experts and teachers. And Xie showed the willingness to exchange and learn with other institutions to further improve the mechanism and the capacity of internationalization in our university. Sha Yezhou, the Assistant of Director of Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges, Ruan Jing, Deputy Dean of the School of Data Science, Guan Xin, Deputy Dean of School of International Education, Liu Di, Director of Training Center, and Zhu Ningjie, Deputy Director of the Development Planning Division, gave a speech on the declaration, construction and operation working mechanism of Talent Introduction Bases, the operation mechanism and implementation of Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in Running Schools, the enrollment of students studying in China and the use of scholarship, the situation related to the base program for studying abroad and our internationalization planning. Wei Huaying, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation and Exchanges Department, and all the staff of the Department participated in this seminar.

CUEB Deputy Party Secretary Xu Fang and Chen Yanbin accompanied Liu Minhua and his team to visit CUEB’ s History Museum, and both sides had a friendly discussion on international cooperation and exchanges such as Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in Running Schools, Talent Introduction Bases, enrollment of international students and the base for studying abroad programs.
