In order to promote the high-quality development of school undertakings, Wang Wenju, Secretary of CUEB Party Committee, and President Wu Weixing, Vice Secretary of CUEB Party Committee, conducted investigation on research and cooperation affairs. Yin Zhichao, member of the Standing Committee of the CUEB Party Committee and Vice President, attended relevant meetings and participated in the investigation.

On the morning of June 7, Wang Wenju and Wu Weixing presided over a special research meeting on CUEB research and cooperation affairs. The comrades of the Office of Research and the Office of Cooperation Affairs reported on relevant matters in accordance with their respective responsibilities and communicated with the participants. Wang Wenju and Wu Weixing stressed that we must encourage innovative research deliveries, carry out organized research and make good use of research funds to foster key research teams in accordance with the philosophy of "setting the direction, strengthening the characteristics and emphasizing the service". We must further advance the think tank construction, improve the publishing quality of academic journals so as to strengthen our research capabilities. Additionally, we must strengthen cooperation and advance the establishment of a comprehensive alumni network of departments at school-level and university-level, which includes reinforcing leadership engagement with alumni, strengthening alumni communication and services, enhancing fundraising capabilities of the education foundation, and creating notable alumni association events and educational foundation projects to elevate levels of collaboration between the university and local governments, enterprises, and international institutions.

On the morning of June 9, Wang and Wu surveyed Hongmiao campus on education as well as on the enrollment, training and employment of international students, and listened to reports from comrades of the Continuous Education College, School of Business, and  International College. Wang and Wu stressed that we should bolster efforts in effectively facilitating the employment of graduates from integrated education and strictly review graduation thesis with the focus on the goal of talent training from integrated education, ensuring the preparation for rigorous evaluation and assessment of undergraduate teaching. Furthermore, they highlighted that we should enhance publicity of international student recruitment, diversify enrollment channels, strengthen the training and management of international students, and foster the smooth education of international students. During the visit, Wang and Wu also learned about the security and stability of Hongmiao campus and the transformation of infrastructure, and put forward requirements to strengthen safety management and fully utilize school resources of Hongmiao Campus.

Investigation is the basis for planning and the way to success. Going forward, CUEB leadership will continue to conduct in-depth investigation in accordance with the requirements of the thematic education. We will steadfastly adopt a forward-looking, comprehensive and holistic approach to observe, analyze, and address issues, striving to propel the school undertakings towards further progress and breakthroughs.
