On the morning of June 7, Chen Yanbin, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of CUEB, met with Han Xing, Director of the International Office and Executive Dean of the International School of Beijing Wuzi University in the Tianlang Hall of Boyuan Building. The two parties exchanged ideas on international cooperation and communication. Chen Lei, Dean of the School of Information, Lu Yi’nan, Deputy Director of the International Office, Lu Hua, Deputy Dean of the School of International, Li Feng, Director of the Department of Big Data Management and Application, Wang Ling, Officer responsible for overseas affairs, as well as semester & short-term programs for students, Dang Xinye, in charge of foreign affairs management, partnership, and degree programs, and Ye Tingting, International School’s student counselor of Beijing Wuyi University, participated in the meeting.

Chen Yanbin expressed warm welcome to Han Xing and his team, and briefed the international cooperation and exchange efforts of CUEB. He expressed the hope that through this visit, CUEB could learn some experience from Beijing Wuzi University on international exchange to further improve foreign affairs work for the internationalization of CUEB.

Then, Han Xing made a brief introduction to Beijing Wuzi University in terms of the general profile, current status of international cooperation and exchanges. He hoped to learn valuable experience from CUEB about Sino-foreign cooperative education programs, faculty visits, student exchange projects, foreign experts, as well as international student enrollment and management. He also emphasized the need to strengthen communication and interaction to jointly improve international cooperation and exchange of the two universities.

Xie Haixia, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, then provided a detailed introduction to International Cooperation and Exchange Office of CUEB, including the organizational structure, foreign management, work processes, task assessment, foreign experts, international organization bases, and Sino-foreign cooperative education programs. Xie expressed the desire to learn some advanced experience and practices from Beijing Wuzi University, to broaden the perspectives and approaches in foreign affairs work, and continuously improve the international cooperation mechanisms of CUEB.

Ruan Jing, Deputy Dean of the School of Data Science, Zhang Yiming, Deputy Minister of Teachers Affairs Department of CUEB Party Committee and Guan Xin, Deputy Dean of the International School (in charge of work), respectively shared their insights and experience on the management system,  practices of Sino-foreign cooperative education, incentives and procedures for faculty visits, and relevant affairs of the recruitment, management, and curriculum development for international students in the International School. .

Wei Huaying, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, Sha Yezhou, the Assistant to the Director, and all staff members of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office attended this meeting.
