During the 2026 winter vacation, CUEB students took part in a range of overseas study programs, from Oxford and Singapore to Geneva, Paris, Los Angeles and Macau. Through academic study, field visits and intercultural exchange, they broadened global vision and gained new perspectives. From tutorial classrooms at Oxford to the innovation hubs of the Greater Bay Area, from the United Nations Headquarters’ international perspective to Singapore’s business courses, these journeys were not merely physical travels but profound mental breakthroughs and self-reinventions. Standing at the center of the world stage, CUEB students confidently shared Chinese stories, measured their dreams with footsteps, and shone brightly in the tide of globalization.

In the European field internship program for international organizations, nine CUEB students were selected by the Talent Development Academy for International Organizations (TDAIO) for a one-month internship. They visited key institutions in the European Union and the United Nations system, took part in international conferences, and carried out thematic and field research. They also attended the Paris Artificial Intelligence Youth Summit, engaging in in-depth dialogues with youth representatives from multiple countries to enhance cross-cultural communication skills and deepen understanding of international governance and multiculturalism.

In the United Nations Field Exchange Program in Geneva and Paris, CUEBers traveled 7,500 kilometers to Geneva, Switzerland, and Paris, France, for a 10-day field exchange. They visited the Palais des Nations, the International Labour Organization and other institutions, took part in Model United Nations activities, and gained firsthand insight into global governance. Through discussion and debate, they gained a deeper understanding of national responsibility and moved from observation to active participation.

In the US Youth Envoy Program, CUEB students went to Los Angeles for a China-US exchange journey. They studied at top California universities, conducted research at local public institutions and non-profit organizations, experienced American life through homestays, and built a solid bridge for cultural exchanges.

In the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business and Finance Program, CUEB students headed to NUS, a top university ranked 8th globally by QS. They joined a multidisciplinary overseas study program and took all-English courses in three subject areas: business and finance, legal practice, and journalism & communication. They also undertook training at renowned companies such as AIA Group, experiencing the professional atmosphere of an international financial center.

In the University of Oxford Winter Academic Study Program, CUEBers traveled to the University of Oxford for a winter academic journey. They participated in small-group tutorials under the mentorship system of a world-class university, conducted full-English discussions on global economic issues, and achieved excellent performance in academic presentations. They also strolled through iconic landmarks like the British Museum and Stonehenge, broadening international perspectives through academic depth and British cultural immersion, drawing strength from the blend of ancient and modern.

In the University of Macau Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Program, CUEBers went to the University of Macau. They conducted joint research on AI and big data topics with global peers at the “Honours College”, delved into cutting-edge knowledge of AI and big data technologies, and experienced Macau’s institutional innovation, urban vitality, and unique charm of East-West cultural fusion.

Taking the world as their classroom, CUEBers broadened horizons through overseas study during the winter vacation. Their journeys reflected curiosity, resilience and a growing global outlook.
