192 CUEB Scholars Listed among “2025 CNKI Highly Cited Scholars”
On December 12, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) released the list of “2025 National Highly Cited Scholars”. 192 scholars from CUEB were included, marking an 11.63% increase from the 172 listed in 2024. Among these, 72 scholars ranked in the TOP 1%, and 120 ranked in the TOP 5% of the list.
To be recognized as a “2025 National Highly Cited Scholars TOP 1%,” candidates must meet these criteria: their total PCSI (Paper Citation Standardized Index) over the past decade must be in the TOP 1% of an initial pool of about 30,000 scholars. The baseline value is 31.815. Candidates must have published at least 5 papers with a PCSI higher than the theoretical average of 1.65 in the past ten years. They must also have at least one core academic paper of high influence published during that time. For the “2025 CNKI Highly Cited Scholars TOP 5%,” scholars’ total PCSI over the past ten years must be in the TOP 1%-TOP 5% of an initial pool of about 90,000 scholars. The baseline value is 10.047. Applicants must have at least five papers with a PCSI higher than 1.65 in the last ten years and at least one highly influential paper published in the same period.
Under the strong leadership of the CUEB Party Committee, the university has consistently demonstrated a commitment to conducting high-quality research. The selection of 192 scholars fully reflects the university’s research strength and influence. At the key juncture of successfully concluding the 14th Five-Year Plan and laying out the 15th Five-Year Plan, CUEB will continue to enhance its capacities in research innovation and in serving both national and Beijing’s development, promoting the university’s high-quality development.
