Wang Xiaoting extended a warm welcome to the young scholars. She noted that CUEB, as a high - level research university in Beijing, consistently implements talent development strategies set by the central government and Beijing Municipality. Through the “Leading Talent Initiative”, the university has been deepening reforms in talent development systems, significantly enhancing its faculty and disciplinary development, and strengthening the clustering of high-level talents, thus steadily improving overall institutional capacity. The forum aims to create an efficient online platform for exchange and collaboration. It helps young scholars understand CUEB’s development opportunities and academic environment, while providing schools and research institutes with direct access to outstanding talents, thereby promoting educational and academic cooperation and innovation. She added that the university continues to refine its talent support system to ensure that all talents, especially newly recruited young faculty, receive comprehensive support from both the university and their respective schools.

After that, Hu Xiang, Associate Professor at the School of Law and Assistant Director of the Human Resources Department at CUEB, gave a comprehensive overview of the university, recruitment channels and benefits, and career development paths for talents. He detailed the recruitment policies and benefits most relevant to young scholars and briefed participants on programs including the National Overseas Outstanding Young Talents Program, the CUEB High-Level Overseas Young Talents Support Plan, and the internal Leading Talent Scholars Support Plan.

From December 3 to 5, sub-forums hosted by various schools and research institutes were successfully held. Young scholars engaged in in-depth group discussions with school leaders and faculty representatives, exchanging ideas on frontier research, team building, research platforms, and career development, and exploring opportunities for collaboration.

Prior to the forum, extensive publicity was conducted via the university’s official social media, China Education Online, Academic Bridge, overseas university student unions, and Wiley Publishing Group, attracting active participation from outstanding young scholars both in China and abroad.

The International Young Scholars Forum serves as a key platform for CUEB to promote high-level academic exchange and a flagship event to showcase the university’s strengths and recruit global talents. It is also a critical initiative supporting Beijing’s development as an international science and technology innovation center and a hub for high-level talents. Going forward, the Human Resources Department will continue to expand CUEB’s global talent network, optimize the integrated online-and-offline talent recruitment and attraction mechanism, and innovate overseas talent programs, thereby strengthening the university’s foundation for high-quality development.
