The Beijing Municipal Education Commission recently announced the first 12 typical AI application scenarios in higher education, including CUEB’s “AIGC Enabling Teaching Innovation Practices in a High-level Research University of Finance and Economics”. This initiative aims to meet the demand for professionals in the digital economy in the new era, accelerate AI innovation and application in higher education, and enhance the integration and adaptability of generative AI in the training system.

Focusing on the digital transformation of personnel training in new liberal arts, the project is guided by the spirit of the “Cultivation Project” and the “Implementation Opinions of CUEB on Promoting the Digital Transformation of Undergraduate Majors”. It leverages CUEB’s emerging cross-disciplinary platform for the digital economy and its strengths in economics and management. As a founding member of “Spark University Alliance”, CUEB leads the way in teaching practice enabled by AIGC, exploring the education reforms for AIGC-empowered high-level research in finance and economics.

Taking leading domestic AI models like iFlytek, ERNIE Bot, ChatGLM, Kimi, CUEB will fully apply professional data resources such as the China Market Entity Database of CUEB. The university plans to develop an AIGC smart teaching platform, deploy AIGC special large models, and analyze complex system models including enterprise profiles, industrial ecosystems, and business systems. CUEB will also create a course-specific case base, database, thematic scenarios, knowledge graphs and practical modules to cultivate a number of exemplary AIGC courses. By doing these, CUEB will empower the cutting-edge, innovative and higher-level construction and upgrading of traditional economics and management courses.

In the future, CUEB will continue to implement the national digital strategy in education, conduct in-depth research on education reforms empowered by digital technology, take the development of typical application scenarios of AI as an ongoing priority. By integrating strengths and strengthening supporting measures, CUEB aims to build a high-level research university of finance and economics in the new era.
