University leaders present honors to outstanding graduates.

In efforts to strengthen alumni ties, Yin Zhichao, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President, presented appointment letters to 145 representatives of the undergraduates of 2025, and 85 representatives of graduates.

Representing the Class of 2025 undergraduates, Diao Yihao from the College of Business Administration, shared his story. Having previously served in the military, Diao recounted his transformation from a physically weak recruit to a champion in military competitions. He also shared his academic journey upon returning to campus, where, encouraged by teachers and classmates, he diligently pursued his studies and gained admission to Nankai University. He encouraged his peers to face challenges and to strive for victory.

Yu Wanqing from the College of Urban Economics and Public Administration, representing the graduates, reflected on her seven years of growth at CUEB, from undergraduate to graduate studies. Her words were filled with deep affection and sincere gratitude towards the university and her mentors. She called on everyone to remain steadfast in their mission--- “Rooted in Beijing, Serving the Capital” and bloom where the motherland calls.

Wu Zishuo from the School of Finance, representing doctoral graduates, shared his academic journey of deep research and scholarly dedication, during which he published 11 papers in authoritative journals. He urged his fellow graduates to remain true to the original aspiration of “serving the people”, uphold the university motto “advocating morality, valuing competence, strategizing national development, and serving the people”, and use their professional expertise to serve society and fulfill their patriotic ideals.

Yu Peng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Dean, and Doctoral Supervisor of the School of Accounting, spoke as a faculty representative. He encouraged graduates with the “Camel Spirit”, emphasizing the virtues of bearing heavy responsibilities, maintaining a down-to-earth attitude, and striving tirelessly. He urged them to venture across the country, contribute to the nation’s development on a broad stage, and write brilliant chapters of youth in the great cause of advancing national rejuvenation.

Jin Xin, alumnus from the Class of 1995, founder, Chairman, and CEO of Xueda Education, addressed the graduates as an alumni representative. Drawing from his entrepreneurial experience, he encouraged graduates to drive careers with passion, embrace challenges and trials, and keenly grasp opportunities presented by the times. He advised them to integrate the expertise cultivated at the Alma Mater into the broader context of national development, creating value in practical action.

Wu Weixing, on behalf of the university, extended sincere congratulations to the Class of 2025 and highly commended their outstanding achievements in academic research, social practice, and national defense. He remarked that the “Camel Spirit”, accumulated over the university’s seventy-year history, epitomizes the perseverance and determination of generations of CUEB members. In the face of the world’s unprecedented changes in a hundred years, he urged all graduates to uphold “three inheritances”: First, to inherit the school’s lofty pursuit of “advocating morality, valuing competence”, chase dreams bravely and let youth shine brightly. Second, to embody the university’s mission of “strategizing national development, and serving the people”, be pioneers, dedicated practitioners, and trendsetters of the times. Third, to put the “Camel Spirit” into action as both thinkers and doers.

Amidst stirring music, university leaders awarded degrees upon all doctoral graduates, representatives of Beijing Outstanding Graduates, and representatives of graduates heading to work in western regions and communities.

As music played, balloons filled with blessings were released, and thousands of ribbons bearing messages like “Youth Never Ends”, “The Future is Bright”, “May You Soar with the Wind”, and “May Your Journey Be Smooth” cascaded across the venue. With this, the 2025 Graduation Ceremony and Degree Conferral concluded successfully. May the Alma Mater’s earnest expectations, accompany the graduates as they embark on new journeys.

Also attending the ceremony were Zhao Guang, member of the Standing Committee of CUEB Party Committee, Director of the Organization Department, and Director of United Front Work Division; Fu Lin, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Director of the Publicity Department; heads of relevant functional departments; deans of all schools; all counselors, class advisors of graduating classes, alumni representatives, and the entire Class of 2025. The ceremony was live-streamed via CUEB’s official WeChat video channel, attracting nearly 20,000 online viewers, including parents and alumni.

The university prepared exquisite graduation gifts specifically for the 2025 undergraduates and graduates.

The undergraduate gift, a thoughtfully designed round piece, features the library and a pillar symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and the university’s high expectations for its students. Engraved with the motto and emblem, it serves as a tangible campus memento.

The graduate gift, shaped like a ginkgo leaf, features depictions of the university library, Zhuoyu Auditorium, and the Third Cafeteria building at the base. At its heart rests a golden ginkgo leaf sand art piece, capturing the essence of campus life. These golden ginkgo leaves, reminiscent of those lining CUEB’s walkways, embody cherished collective memory for all CUEBers. Carrying this souvenir out of campus symbolizes embarking on a bright future with the Alma Mater’s best wishes.

Though we say farewell today, brighter paths will come our way.

Dear students,

May you carry the blessings and expectations of your Alma Mater,

Ride the winds and break the waves,

March forward courageously,

And write your own splendid life chapters!
