The 2025 Annual Meeting of the China Development Forum concluded in Beijing on March 24.

A Total of 86 delegates from multi-national corporations across 21 countries attended this meeting.

CUEB has supplied volunteer services for the forum for eight consecutive years.

A 32-member student team was mobilized to support the forum this year.

The team excelled in their duties, showcasing the professionalism of CUEB’s youth volunteer team and adding a dynamic presence to the event.

Volunteers of CUEB delivered clockwork precision throughout the forum!

Three interns from CUEB arrived early at their posts,

followed by a strong service team

comprising 29 volunteers from 14 colleges.

Among them, 88% were CPC members.

Seven groups were formed in more than 10 locations.

Working for over 12 hours and walking over 40,000 steps for most each day.

The total service hours exceeded 800!

Truly professional!

Their voluntary services:

entrance security checks, information verification,

badge labeling, luncheon guidance,

traffic management, and hotel broadcasting.

The volunteers, who had passed a rigorous selection process,

earned the trust of the forum organizers and representatives,

with their high political literacy, diligence, and professional skills.

Gratitude and praise from the China Development Research Foundation followed.

For this year’s volunteer recruitment,

we selected the qualified candidates with the method of

college recommendations, centralized interviews,

and selecting the best from excellent candidates for admission

as Volunteer Department of the Youth League Committee of CUEB has done.

AI elements could be seen everywhere in the forum.

The theme of this year’s forum was

“Unleashing Development Momentum for Stable Growth of Global Economy.”

Chinese Premier Li Qiang attended the opening ceremony of the forum

and delivered a keynote speech.

Volunteers’ Feedback

“It was a great honor for me to participate in the China Development Forum as a volunteer this spring. During my guiding work, I encountered a foreign lady with limited mobility. I proactively communicated with her in English, coordinated a shuttle bus for her, and ensured she arrived at the venue on time smoothly. This seemingly ordinary act made me realize that the significance of volunteer service goes beyond completing tasks; it lies in responding to others’ needs, and bringing warmth and shouldering responsibility. During the forum, I also had the privilege of listening to in-depth discussions among political, business, and academic elites on topics such as Chinese Path to Modernization and High-Standard Opening-up’, giving me a more concrete understanding of national development strategies. As a CUEBer, I realized that the young should actively integrate into the national development landscape, broaden our horizons, and enhance our competency. My belief in serving society with professional knowledge was strengthened through this work.”(Hu Xin, Graduate from the School of Economics, Grade 2024)

“It was a great honor for me to participate in the volunteer service of the 2025 China Development Forum. This experience was precious and unforgettable for me. During the event, I mainly took charge of traffic guidance and route consultation. Facing participants from different cultural backgrounds, I offered assistance with great enthusiasm, striving to convey China’s friendliness. During the service, I truly felt China’s influence on the global stage, and a sense of national pride welled up in my heart. This volunteer service not only brought me growth but also helped me realize my value. In the future, I will continue to engage in volunteer services and contribute to China’s high-quality development with actions.”(
Han Qi, Graduate from the School of Finance, Grade 2024)

“It is a profound honor to participate in the 2025 China Development Forum as a volunteer. This experience allowed me to witness the high standards of a major international conference. The meticulous pre-forum training solidified my determination to devote myself to the role with utmost dedication. Stationed at the North Gate security check, providing directions, and verifying credentials, my job was to enhance conference efficiency. Through this activity, I enhanced my adaptability and attention to detail, improved my English communication skills while guiding international guests, and discovered the deeper significance of volunteering: it is not only a ladder for personal growth but also a window to convey warmth to the world. Moving forward, I will carry these insights into my professional endeavors, continuing to embody the spirit of service and demonstrating the responsibility and passion of today’s youth through action.”(Wang Ruochen, Graduate from the International School of Economics and Management, Grade 2023)

“I am deeply privileged to volunteer at this year’s China Development Forum—an unforgettable experience where thought and action converged, revealing the true value and charm of voluntary service. At the forum, I assisted with guest registration, guided attendees, and addressed inquiries. Alongside fellow volunteers, I maintained enthusiasm and patience while engaging with guests worldwide. Witnessing their timely access to information through our efforts sparked an innate sense of accomplishment. I realized that volunteering transcends physical labor; it is a heartfelt process of sharing warmth and care. Moreover, I was struck by the guests’ keen interest in and recognition of China’s development. As a member of the new generation, I will continue to shoulder responsibilities, practice the spirit of dedication, and contribute to China’s development.”(Guan Yuan, Graduate from the College of Business Administration, Grade 2024)

“Serving as a volunteer at the 2025 China Development Forum deepened my understanding of the interconnection between global governance and China’s development. Through interactions with domestic and international business and academic representatives, I sensed the world’s attention on China. Themes like “Green Development” and “Global Governance” in keynote forums highlighted China’s responsible role as a major nation on the international stage. Commitment to this global event embodies the mission and glory of our generation, inspiring us to stride forward in tandem with the nation’s development and dedicate our youth to China’s advancement!”(Han Guosheng, Graduate from the School of Labor Economics, Grade 2023)
